This project involved a new Maintenance Facility on an existing maintenance facility site. This included an office/maintenance building, wash bay, a heated truck storage building. It also involved a cold storage building, covered material storage building, salt storage structure, brine system, re-fueling station with above-ground fuel tanks, and demolition of existing office/truck building.
RDFA’s role was to provide the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design for this project, including site lighting. We provided Construction Administration in support of the Architect.
Notable engineering features of this Project: Commercial wash bay with pressure washer, heavy-duty trench drains, oil interceptor, waste oil storage system, motor oil/grease/compressed air distribution system, Energy-efficient natural gas radiant heat at truck bays, 95% efficient furnaces at office areas, welding area capture exhaust, fuel island with gasoline and diesel fuel. All LED Lights, with high bay fixtures in maintenance garage and wet location fixtures in wash bay. A single service (1200 amp 208/120volt) with 150kW back-up generator provides power for all buildings on the site.
