New Community Building in City Park

about this project

This project involved mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering work on a new community building.  This included demolition of three existing buildings.  It also involved a new parking area for approximately 148 cars, a large community space, an exercise room, a teen room, a warming kitchen, and associated support spaces.

RDFA’s role was to provide the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design for this project, including site lighting. We provided Construction Administration in support of the Architect.

Notable engineering features of this Project:  Full fire suppression, serving kitchen with grease interceptor, energy-efficient, easy-to-maintain HVAC systems, Building Automation System (BAS), LED lighting, and telecommunications system wiring. The MEP systems were screened from view due to the prominent location of the building in the city park.
